Putting your wall on the Lock Screen

iOS does not let any app change the wallpaper directly, so DailyWall renders the wall as an image and hands it to Shortcuts. You set it up once and it runs itself. There is a one-minute video under Settings → Lock Screen in the app.

In DailyWall go to Settings → Lock Screen → Lock Screen wall, and tap Add the ready-made shortcut. In the page that opens, scroll down and tap Add Shortcut.
In the Shortcuts app, open the Automation tab and tap +.
Choose App, pick DailyWall, tick Is Closed and Run Immediately, then Next.
Search for the action Run Shortcut and choose DailyWall. Done.

From then on, every time you leave the app your Lock Screen becomes that day's wall. The image never passes through Photos. The first time, iOS may ask whether to set the wallpaper; allow it once.

The wall doesn't update

In Shortcuts → Automation, check that the rule says "DailyWall · Is Closed" and that "Run Immediately" is on (not "Ask Before Running").
In Shortcuts → Shortcuts, run the DailyWall shortcut by hand once. If it shows an error, send us the message.
If a photo on the wall contains a person, the first wallpaper after a change can take a second or two longer; later ones are instant.

Does the wall image get saved to my gallery?

No. DailyWall never writes to your photo library on its own and never deletes anything. A copy is saved only if you press "Save to Photos" yourself.

My subscription

Subscriptions are managed through the App Store. To cancel, change plan or see your renewal date, on your iPhone go to Settings → (your name) → Subscriptions → DailyWall.

A free trial is not charged if you cancel more than 24 hours before it ends. If you cancel during the trial, you keep access until it runs out. Changed device or reinstalled the app? Use Restore purchases on the subscription screen; signing in with the same Apple Account is all it takes.

For a refund, use Apple's Report a Problem page; we cannot issue refunds ourselves.

My notes have disappeared

First check this: the wall is per day. Use the arrows in the header, or the calendar, to move between days; dots in the calendar show where paper is. Notes without a day are in the Drawer.

If you deleted and reinstalled the app and iCloud is on with Pro, your notes come back from iCloud; give it a moment on first launch. If they still don't arrive, write to us.

Shared walls

The invitation link doesn't open the app. Install DailyWall first, then tap the link again, or paste it into Shared → Join with a link. The QR code works the same way.
I can't hang a third note. Free gives each person two notes per shared wall; Pro removes the limit for you.
No notifications. Open the wall, tap ⋯ → Notifications, and check both the wall switch and the phone permission. A test notification is on the same page. Notifications are only for other people's paper, and not while that wall is on screen.
Someone should leave. The owner can remove a participant under Participants; anyone can leave a wall from its menu.

Smart add isn't working

Smart add needs a connection unless your device supports Apple Intelligence. Without a connection the app falls back to its own rule-based parser, which understands simple dates and times.
